MONEY
In Vung Tau, the Vietnamese Dong (VND) is the official currency. Although the US Dollar (USD) may be accepted at some high-end hotels, resorts or shops catering to tourists, most shopping, dining and daily services still use VND. WEATHER
The best time to travel to Vung Tau is from November to April of the following year, when the weather is dry, sunny, the sea is clear and the waves are calm, very favorable for swimming, exploring the beautiful scenery and enjoying seafood. From May to October is the rainy season, but the rains are usually short, the weather is still sunny and the sea is still attractive to tourists because of the fresh, cool air.

VISA EXEMPTION & E-VISA
International visitors to Vung Tau often enter Vietnam through Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City) with visa exemption or electronic visa (e-visa). Citizens from 13 countries such as Germany, France, UK, Japan, South Korea... are exempted from visa for up to 45 days, and from March 1, 2025, this policy will be extended to Poland, Czech Republic, Switzerland. Visitors from other countries can apply for a 90-day e-visa, single or multiple entries. The e-visa procedure is done online through the Vietnam Immigration Department's Information Portal, making visiting Vung Tau convenient and quick.

In Vung Tau, Vietnamese is the main language used in daily communication.
